Product Vice President, Product Management at SmartBear

VP of Product Management leads strategy, roadmap, and execution for test management products, defining how AI-driven quality and testing integrate into developer workflows at scale.

Exec Remote Posted about 12 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

SmartBear delivers application integrity for modern tech stacks, ensuring continuous, measurable assurance that software just works as intended with governance to operate at AI speed and scale. SmartBear offers deep test automation, API lifecycle management, and observability capabilities. With integrations across the SDLC, it sets a new quality standard for application delivery teams.

SmartBear is trusted by more than 16 million developers, testers, and software engineers across 32,000 organizations, including 75% of the largest financial institutions and industry leaders such as Adobe, JetBlue, and Microsoft. SmartBear’s best-loved brands include Swagger, TestComplete, Reflect, QMetry, Zephyr, and more. As stewards of a collaborative open source community, SmartBear meets customers where they are to make our technology-driven world a better place. Learn more at www.smartbear.com, or follow us on LinkedIn, X, and Reddit.

At SmartBear, you will be part of a dynamic team solving one of the most critical challenges facing modern businesses: ensuring the integrity of software in an AI-driven world. Whether you are working directly with customers, driving go to market strategies, supporting operations, building products, or enabling teams, your contributions help shape the future of software quality for organizations worldwide. Join us in our mission.

The Role

The way software gets tested is changing faster than at any point in the last decade. AI agents are beginning to write tests, execute them, triage results, and evaluate tooling — without a human browsing a marketplace. SmartBear’s Test Management portfolio, including Reflect and Qmetry, sits at the center of that shift.

We’re looking for a VP of Product Management to lead this business. You’ll own strategy, roadmap, growth, and execution for a group of SmartBear’s test products and you’ll define how quality and testing integrate into developer workflows at scale. This is not a role for someone who views AI as a roadmap feature. It’s a role for someone who has a credible, specific point of view on where agentic testing goes, has shipped product decisions that reflect that view, and can build the organizational and GTM muscle to get SmartBear there.

This is a senior product leadership role with direct customer and partner exposure, meaningful people leadership responsibility, and high visibility inside the company.

Location: Flexible / Remote

Reports to: SVP, Product Management

What We’re Looking For

  • AI product experience, not just fluency. You’ve made bets on where AI changes buyer behavior, shipped something, been wrong, and updated. You understand the difference between AI features and AI-native product architecture. You have a point of view on how agentic workflows are reshaping how software gets tested and how tools get discovered and selected by buyers who may not be human.
  • Executive-grade GTM partnership. You’ve been in deal conversations, not just informed about them. You’ve made product decisions that changed revenue outcomes; accelerating deals, adjusting pricing or packaging, or shaping how the product shows up in market. Sales and marketing teams have trusted you as a strategic partner, not a gatekeeper.
  • Proven people leadership at the VP level. You’ve led a team that includes PM managers, not just individual contributors. You know how to develop a management layer, make hard people calls, and calibrate performance at scale. Four to six reports, some of whom manage others, is the right level of complexity for where you are in your career.
  • Deep enough domain fluency to be credible from day one. You understand the QA ecosystem; how teams work, where the pain is, how testing tooling integrates with CI/CD pipelines and platforms like Jira and Atlassian well enough to earn respect from engineers and enterprise buyers without a ramp period.
  • Strong ecosystem and partner instincts. You’ve built or significantly shaped a product strategy in a platform-dependent context. You understand the tension between integration depth and product differentiation, and you’ve navigated partner relationships that are both strategic and competitive.
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including leading product teams in SaaS or enterprise environments. Testing, developer tools, or enterprise workflow experience is a strong plus.

What You’ll Do

Product Strategy & AI Leadership

  • Define and execute product strategy for SmartBear’s test portfolio, with a clear view of where AI and agentic workflows are changing the competitive landscape.
  • Own the roadmap for how testing and quality integrate into SDLC workflows and how SmartBear’s products get discovered, evaluated, and selected in an increasingly AI-mediated buying environment.
  • Ensure product architecture and positioning keep pace with the shift from human-driven to agent-driven tool evaluation, including API surface, integration depth, and structured metadata that make products accessible to agentic orchestration.
  • Align product strategy with SmartBear’s Application Integrity evolution and ensure coherence across Reflect and Qmetry and the broader portfolio.
  • Engage directly with customers, partners, and external stakeholders to keep strategy grounded in real-world usage and adoption dynamics.

Growth & Business Outcomes

  • Drive adoption, retention, expansion, and revenue growth for your products, with accountability to portfolio-level targets.
  • Partner closely with GTM teams on pricing, packaging, and ecosystem strategies and serve as a key voice in how Test Management shows up in market.
  • Optimize across product-led and sales-led growth motions, including AI-influenced discovery and evaluation paths.
  • Identify expansion opportunities across customers, channels, and partner ecosystems, including positioning within platforms where AI agents recommend tooling.

People & Execution Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, including PMs who manage others.
  • Set clear expectations for roadmap quality, discovery rigor, and execution discipline and hold the team to them.
  • Partner with Engineering and UX to deliver high-quality, reliable releases on a consistent cadence.
  • Build operational muscle: quarterly planning, cross-team alignment, and a PM org that runs without hand-holding.

Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success on GTM alignment, enablement, and external narrative.
  • Serve as a key product voice in customer, partner, and analyst conversations, owning the external story, not just informing it.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with key technology and channel partners, including Atlassian and relevant platform ecosystems.
  • Ensure feedback from outside the building consistently informs roadmap decisions.

The Environment

SmartBear is a PE-backed, financially disciplined company that operates with the rigor and business ownership mindset that comes with that context. This role is for someone who thrives when they must build a case for investment, defend a roadmap under real financial constraints, and measure success in business outcomes, not just product output.

Why This Role Matters

The testing space is being reshaped. AI is changing not just how software gets tested, but how testing tools get discovered, evaluated, and bought. SmartBear’s test products are a critical growth engine, and this VP will determine whether we lead that shift or chase it.

The right leader will bring a specific point of view on where agentic testing goes, the operational discipline to run a high-performing PM org, and the GTM credibility to be a trusted voice with sales, customers, and partners. That combination is rare. If that’s you, this is the role.

Why you should join the SmartBear crew

  • You can grow your career at every level.
  • We invest in your success as well as the spaces where our teams come together to work, collaborate, and have fun.
  • We love celebrating our SmartBears; we even encourage our crew to take their birthdays off.
  • We are guided by a People and Culture organization - an important distinction for us. We think about our team holistically – the whole person.
  • We celebrate our differences in experiences, viewpoints, and identities because we know it leads to better outcomes.

Did you know?

  • Our mission at SmartBear is to make our technology-driven world a better place. We are committed to ethical corporate practices and social responsibility across the communities we serve.
  • SmartBear is headquartered in Somerville, MA, with offices around the world, including Galway, Bath, Wroclaw, and Bangalore.
  • We’ve won major industry (product and company) awards including SD Times, DeveloperWeek’s Devies Award, the AI Breakthrough Award, and BuiltIn Best Places to Work.
  • SmartBear is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.

At SmartBear, we believe transparency in pay is part of how we build trust—with our employees, candidates, and community. Our compensation philosophy is grounded in market competitiveness, internal equity, and rewarding impact.

We encourage candidates to view compensation as part of their total rewards experience at SmartBear. This includes performance-based bonuses for eligible roles, a generous benefits package that supports employees’ health and well-being, and promotes work-life balance through flexible time off and hybrid work options.  You can build your career at SmartBear through professional development opportunities, and an inclusive, collaborative culture where everyone can thrive.

Your SmartBear total rewards compensation package includes base salary and may also include a performance bonus plan, as well as equity (if eligible). The base salary range for this role is listed below. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location.

Annual Cash Compensation

$215,000—$250,000 USD

Marketing Senior Director, Digital, Marketing Technology, and Data at CompanyCam

Senior director owns MarTech stack architecture, marketing data strategy, paid/owned digital channel strategy, and leads marketing operations and website development teams.

Exec Remote Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Hi, we’re CompanyCam.

We’re a simple-to-use photo documentation and productivity app for contractors of all commercial and home services industries. Packed with intuitive functionality, CompanyCam facilitates unparalleled communication and accountability across a contractor’s entire business. We’re committed to providing a consumer-grade, game-changing experience that helps our users build trust within their company and with their customers.

But don’t let that corporate description fool you—the people behind our buttoned-up product are laid-back (but hardworking), genuine, and kickass, and you could be one of them!

The Role

At CompanyCam, the Sr. Director of Digital, Marketing Technology, and Data owns the architecture, administration, and roadmap of our MarTech stack, our marketing data strategy, and the paid and owned digital channel strategy that stack is built to support. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing and serving on the Marketing Senior Leadership Team, you’ll build and lead a Marketing Operations team responsible for Marketo, 6Sense, Qualified, Webflow, and our ad platform stack, and lead a website development team with real engineers and engineering process.

This is a hands-on technical leader, not a generalist who manages people who understand the tools better than they do. You should be equally comfortable evaluating an integration decision, setting channel mix strategy, and translating marketing data into recommendations for the SLT.

Location: Remote - Candidates must permanently and currently reside in the United States.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the MarTech roadmap and architecture across Marketo, 6Sense, Qualified, Webflow, and the ad platform stack, defining how systems integrate and how data flows end to end
  • Build and lead a Marketing Operations team that administers and governs the MarTech stack, and co-owns Webflow with the Web/Brand team
  • Own the integrated paid and owned digital channel strategy, setting channel mix, investment priorities, and performance targets
  • Own CompanyCam’s marketing data strategy, including the data model and data integrity across Marketing’s systems
  • Lead the marketing website development team, owning the engineering roadmap, sprint process, and release/QA process for the marketing site
  • Lead and develop the Director of Growth Operations, Sr. Marketing Optimization Manager, Marketing Operations team, and website development team
  • Serve as the Digital, Marketing Technology, and Data voice on the Marketing Senior Leadership Team

The Impact You’ll Have

At CompanyCam, your work makes a real impact. Whether you’re writing code, supporting customers, or designing experiences, your contributions directly shape the product we deliver and the people we serve. We’re building something that helps real people solve real problems, and we believe that kind of work is best done by a team that reflects the world around us. In this role, you’ll drive impact by:

  • Building a MarTech architecture and marketing data strategy that scales with the business instead of constraining it
  • Leading a real engineering function for the marketing website, raising code quality and release discipline
  • Setting a digital channel strategy that connects investment directly to pipeline and acquisition outcomes
  • Giving the Marketing SLT a technical and data-driven voice they can act on
  • Developing directors and senior managers into stronger, more autonomous leaders

What You’ll Bring

  • 12+ years in digital marketing, marketing technology, or marketing operations leadership, including 5+ years directly owning a MarTech stack and leading technical or operations teams in B2B SaaS or high-growth technology
  • Proven, hands-on ownership of core MarTech platforms: Marketo, 6Sense, Qualified, and Webflow, including administration, architecture, and integration decisions
  • Experience leading a website development function, including engineering process and technical site architecture, not just content or design oversight
  • Deep understanding of marketing data architecture: data models, integrations, APIs, and ETL/automation tools like Workato, Tray.io, Hightouch, or Zapier
  • Demonstrated expertise developing integrated digital channel strategies across paid and owned channels
  • Proven ability to partner with analytics and data engineering teams on measurement frameworks and attribution models
  • Experience managing agency and vendor relationships for paid media and web development
  • Experience evaluating and optimizing team operating models, including in-house vs. outsourced resourcing

Benefits & Compensation

This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is $195,000-$225,000 per year and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.

CompanyCam is an equal-opportunity employer committed to respect, inclusion, and growth. We work hard, take responsibility, and support each other. Great ideas come from all backgrounds, and we carefully consider every applicant without regard to personal characteristics or traits. Even if your work experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to apply. What really matters to us is your potential, your passion, and your commitment to learning, innovation, and contributing meaningfully to our team.

For any accommodations or technical issues related to the online application or interview process, please email jobs@companycam.com and we’ll respond promptly. Please do not include any medical or health information in your message.

Note: Resumes sent to this email will not be reviewed or responded to. To be considered for a position, you must apply directly through our careers page.
