Our client application is written in React and TypeScript.
The application is fully isomorphic, rendering application state/snapshots server-side where possible.
Our services are designed for a serverless architecture that’s built with Terraform and runs in AWS.
On our engineering team, you’ll be involved in the entire product development process as an equal thought partner from ideation, to engineering investigation, to design, and through implementation. At Albert, deadlines and scope are driven by the engineering team, not by teams or managers detached from the technical challenges. We take time to pay off technical debt, test, and plan long-term architectural improvements alongside new features. Most importantly, you’ll see how rewarding it is to release features to tens of thousands of teachers who rely on Albert for their day-to-day instruction.
THE ROLE
As a Software Engineer, you will work with our cutting-edge Elixir/Phoenix-powered API to support feature development and push the boundaries of scalability, stability, and speed. You’ll also work with modern Javascript libraries to create beautiful, interactive, and responsive interfaces that help people accelerate their learning.

be a major contributor to the team by writing modern, testable and maintainable code to support Albert’s roadmap;
take ownership of features and engineering initiatives from end-to-end by going through design, implementation, test, and maintenance cycles;

An AI-powered recruiting platform is building the database layer behind its operational systems, reporting, and AI features, and is looking for a Database Engineer to design clean schemas, write efficient SQL, and make Postgres do more with less.
The company runs a production Postgres backend powering its applicant tracking system, fed by webhook-driven ingestion from external hiring tools via serverless workers and queues. As it scales, it is investing in the database foundation that will support reporting and AI consumers, and the role pairs closely with the Engineering team (which owns ingestion) and AI Engineering (which consumes datasets).
Day-to-day, the Database Engineer extends and evolves the Postgres schema across recruiting, candidates, and business operations, builds SQL views and derived tables that serve as the standard interface for reporting and AI, and optimizes query performance through indexing, partitioning, and execution-plan analysis. Position Description
The Shielding Analysis Engineer is responsible for defining, developing, and executing radiation shielding and radiation transport analyses to support reactor design, plant layout, performance evaluation, and safety assurance.
This role involves working closely with the broader design team to solicit and capture requirements, establish the scope of shielding evaluations, and implement appropriate source term, activation, dose rate, streaming, and shielding models and methods.
Areas of analysis include, but are not limited to, radiation transport, material activation, source term development, dose assessment, and shielding design optimization.
The engineer will also support verification and validation activities and contribute to licensing and regulatory interactions by providing technically sound and defensible shielding analyses.
Specific responsibilities may include:
Perform the complete range of actions involved in supporting shielding design, radiation transport analysis, and dose assessment for using Monte Carlo and supporting codes on Oklo facilities.
Perform calculations and analyses in Monte Carlo based radiation transport codes such as MCNP, SCALE, OpenMC, and Serpent.
Perform source term, activation, streaming, skyshine, and dose-rate analyses using appropriate Monte Carlo and deterministic methods.
Support the qualification and verification of shielding analyses, including validation against experiments, benchmarks, and operationally relevant radiation measurements.
Be aware of and familiar with radiation shielding, radiation transport, and fast reactor core design and analysis work being performed internationally, as well as related benchmark calculations and experiments being performed internationally.
Provide technical feedback to quick-iterating design teams.
Document work using modern tools and techniques, and write well-written, thoughtful technical reports.
Minimum Qualifications:

Experience automating infrastructure using Terraform or Terragrunt at scale, including module design and state management
Solid understanding of Linux systems (disk, memory, networking, failure modes)

Embedded software engineer who architects and builds integrations between customer engineering systems and Istari's platform while serving as the primary technical interface.
The Role
Istari’s software doesn’t just get handed off, it gets deployed into some of the most complex engineering environments in aerospace and defense. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll be embedded directly inside our customer organizations, operating as part of their team while remaining tightly connected to Istari’s product and engineering core.
This is not a support role. You are a builder. You’ll write real code, architect integrations, and solve hard problems that emerge at the intersection of digital engineering workflows and mission-critical operations. The challenges you’ll tackle require the instincts of a strong software engineer and the adaptability of someone who thrives in unstructured environments. Challenges like connecting CAD, CFD, FEM pipelines to Istari’s platform; unlocking cross-discipline and cross-clearance collaboration; enabling organizations to actually use the tools in which they’ve invested.
You’ll work alongside Istari Program Managers who are embedded in the same customer environments. They carry the program context and stakeholder relationships while you own the technical execution. Together, you operate as a unit capable of handling almost anything a customer throws at you. The best Forward Deployed Engineers make our product smarter, not just our customers happier.
Onsite Technical Delivery
Embed with customer engineering teams to understand their workflows, data environments, and technical constraints
Architect and build software solutions that integrate Istari’s platform into existing digital engineering ecosystems (CAD, CFD, FEM, simulation pipelines, and related toolchains)
Serve as the primary technical interface for the customer – not just answering questions, but proactively identifying where our software can drive more value
