Engineer Pearl Talent - Data Engineer - I052 at Pearl Talent

Designs and optimizes PostgreSQL schemas, builds SQL views for reporting and AI consumers, and ensures database performance and data governance at scale.

Mid Remote Posted about 3 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Work From Anywhere in LATAM and the Philippines

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST (EasternTime)

An AI-powered recruiting platform is building the database layer behind its operational systems, reporting, and AI features, and is looking for a Database Engineer to design clean schemas, write efficient SQL, and make Postgres do more with less.

The company runs a production Postgres backend powering its applicant tracking system, fed by webhook-driven ingestion from external hiring tools via serverless workers and queues. As it scales, it is investing in the database foundation that will support reporting and AI consumers, and the role pairs closely with the Engineering team (which owns ingestion) and AI Engineering (which consumes datasets).

Day-to-day, the Database Engineer extends and evolves the Postgres schema across recruiting, candidates, and business operations, builds SQL views and derived tables that serve as the standard interface for reporting and AI, and optimizes query performance through indexing, partitioning, and execution-plan analysis. Success in the first 3–6 months means a completed schema audit with top-priority fixes shipped, measurable p95 gains on key dashboard queries, and column-level PII classification aligned to retention policy.

Must-Have

  • 3+ years working with production PostgreSQL databases
  • Advanced SQL: window functions, CTEs, JSONB, EXPLAIN analysis, and query rewriting for performance
  • Relational data modeling for both OLTP and analytical use cases, including materialized views, indexing, and partitioning on OLTP Postgres
  • Defining and enforcing PII, data-classification, and retention policies at the database level
  • Git-based schema-migration workflows (Flyway, sqitch, or comparable) with PR review
  • Basic Python or comparable scripting for one-off data operations and validation
  • B2+ English (CEFR) for technical documentation read across teams

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Supabase (RLS, auth model, Realtime, Storage)
  • Experience with dbt or SQLMesh for versioning SQL transformations
  • Prior work exposing datasets to AI/ML consumers (feature datasets, embedding indexes, eval sets)

Engineer Lead Software Engineer at Fundrise

Lead Software Engineer manages an API engineering team, sets technical direction, mentors engineers, and oversees core services for authentication, investing, and account management.

Lead Remote Posted about 9 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Fundrise is a financial technology company on a mission to build a better financial system for the individual. With more than 2 million users and over $3 billion in assets under management, we are the largest direct-to-investor alternative asset platform in the United States, making institutional-quality real estate, private credit, and venture capital investments accessible to anyone. Through the software we build, we are democratizing the private investment industry.

We continue to push into new territory: our Innovation Fund (VCX) recently listed on the NYSE as one of the first public venture capital funds, and our AI subsidiary, RealAI, is bringing institutional-grade real estate intelligence to everyday investors and professionals. Fundrise has been recognized by CNBC’s World’s Top Fintech Companies (2024, 2025) and the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for three consecutive years (2023-2025).

While this is a fully remote role, candidates in the Washington, D.C. metro area are strongly preferred. Proximity to our team and business partners helps support in-person collaboration when needed.

We’re seeking a Lead Software Engineer to manage a team within our API Engineering group. This team owns the services at the core of Fundrise’s investor application: the APIs that drive authentication, investing, account management, and more, and it drives everything underneath our flagship investor web, iOS, and Android applications.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be measured on the output, quality, and growth of your team. This is a people-management role in which you’ll set technical direction, coach engineers, and help drive outputs through daily hands-on software engineering, making sound architectural calls, and solving the problems no one else can crack. Success in this role looks like a team that quickly and consistently turns product, operational, and compliance requirements into software to drive Fundrise forward.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and mentor a team of software engineers through effective weekly one-on-ones, deliberate delegation, and growth feedback
  • Own your team’s delivery, breaking down work, coordinating across teams, and shipping against ambitious but achievable timelines
  • Hold the team to a high quality bar of production code, conducting thorough code reviews and making merge and deployment decisions
  • Drive design and architecture for Fundrise services and contribute to a long-term team roadmap
  • Partner with Product, Design, and other Engineering stakeholders across the organization to quickly implement complex functionality
  • Champion application security as a critical part of the work in a regulated financial services environment
  • Own production monitoring and triage across our services and third-party integrations

Who You Are

Like our Lead Software Engineers, you spend much of your day writing code, and you measure success by what you can ship as a team rather than by your own output alone. Your technical choices are pragmatic and always in service of building what’s best for users. You hold yourself and your team to a high technical standard, and you think about solutions across multiple problem domains: performance, security, maintainability, architecture, and implementation detail. You can quickly evaluate a new technology, pattern, or language and adopt it when it genuinely serves the problem. You understand how to apply AI effectively to your own daily work and to raising your team’s output without treating it as an autopilot.

You form clear opinions and advocate for them, and once a direction is set you commit to it fully. You find real satisfaction in making an established, high-stakes platform a little better every day. You give direct feedback and expect the same in return, and accept responsibility for all outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including deep expertise in Java, Spring / Spring Boot, and Hibernate
  • 3+ years leading and managing engineers: running 1:1s, driving team performance through candid feedback, and owning your team’s delivery, quality, and growth
  • 4+ years building and maintaining production applications on AWS, including services like ECS, CDK, S3, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB and WAF
  • A deep understanding of transactional database design and operations
  • A track record of improving existing systems in operationally complex environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining secure software, including a solid understanding of common threats and principles for writing secure code
  • Comfortable tackling problems without obvious answers, and can rapidly absorb new languages and frameworks in order to implement the best software solutions
  • Experience managing high performing engineering teams in
  • A passion for working backwards from the outcomes the business needs to the engineering decisions that will achieve them

Benefits at Fundrise

  • Remote-first work environment (must live in the United States)
  • Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, with Fundrise contributing to both employee and dependent premiums
  • Flexible Spending Accounts for medical expenses, dependent care, and parking
  • 401(k) with 3% contributed by Fundrise, regardless of whether you are actively contributing yourself
  • Fully covered life insurance and short-term disability
  • Significant equity via our employee stock grant program
  • Gympass benefit including mental health resources
  • Flexible PTO
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid parental leave

$190,000 - $250,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain our Java client library, ensuring it is robust, well-tested, and easy for external users to integrate with.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance server applications in C/C++.
  • Write message parsers and feed handlers for direct market data feeds from trading venues.
  • Optimize existing codebase for high throughput (millions of messages per second, up to 40+ gigabits) and low latency (measured in nanoseconds).

Engineer Lead Software Engineer at Fundrise

Manages a software engineering team building core APIs for Fundrise's investor platform while contributing to technical architecture and mentoring engineers.

Lead Remote Posted about 10 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product

Engineer Senior Fullstack Developer -AI at Narvar

Senior fullstack engineer builds consumer-facing claim and package-protection products using TypeScript, React, Go, and GraphQL across frontend and backend systems.

Senior Remote Posted about 11 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Narvar is growing! We are looking for Full stack Software Engineers that enjoy working on both APIs and UIs. In this role, you will build products that power the post-purchase experience for the biggest brands in the retail industry. As a Fullmstack Software Engineer, you will have a direct impact on our customer-facing products and work with modern technologies like Typescript, React, Go, Java, and GraphQL to ship complex features that drive millions of views.

You’ll join the team behind Narvar Secure and Narvar Assist — our package-protection and claims products. Secure lets shoppers opt in to shipping protection at checkout and file loss, theft, or damage claims through a branded, self-service portal. Assist uses AI and machine learning to enhance delivery-claim decisions and detect fraud in real time, resolving issues for shoppers while protecting our retailers from abuse. You’ll own live, consumer-facing claim experiences end to end — from storefront integrations (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and embeddable widgets, through a shared, claim-decisioning platform.

For this role, you should be located in Canada and able to work within EST/EDT OR PST hours. We are fully remote.

Day-to-day

Frontend Development (Primary Focus)

  • Implement new product features & support/ extend existing ones
  • Build frontend platform components leveraged across our internal, external products and ecommerce storefronts like Shopify, Salesforce etc
  • Work with product and design teams toTranslate product and design work (Figma) into robust, accessible, high-performance UI components
  • Own frontend architecture decisions and uphold code-quality standards alongside other senior engineers, and mentor teammates through code review

Backend Development (Secondary Focus)

  • Contribute to development and maintenance of backend services using primarily Golang, Node.js
  • Understanding of google cloud platform (GCP), CI/CD and be able to deploy code and infrastructure components
  • Work with datastores like PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, and Bigtable
  • Understand and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs

What We’re Looking For

  • You have 6+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and high-quality systems
  • AI-first development — you treat AI (e.g., Claude) as your primary engineering surface, orchestrating, reviewing, and shipping through it rather than hand-writing code. You’re genuinely curious about your own AI workflow — continually experimenting, refining, and staying on the leading edge of what these tools can do — and you help the team do the same by sharing what works.
  • Experience in building consumer facing applications with a frontend framework(s), such as React (preferable), Svelte Angular, Vue or Ember
  • Experience building well-designed software with NodeJS or Golang
  • Experience developing consumer facing applications consuming various APIs from a microservice backend system
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of full development life cycle and computer science fundamentals
  • Strong focus on code quality and code reviews
  • Experience with mentoring other engineers
  • Previous startup experience strongly preferred with growth and product engineering mindset

We’re on a mission to simplify the everyday lives of consumers. Post-purchase is a critical phase of the customer journey. That’s why we created Narvar - a platform focused on driving customer loyalty through seamless post-purchase experiences that allow retailers to retain, engage, and delight customers. Engineer Toptal: Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Consultant

Designs, builds, and supports enterprise integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud across multiple Oracle and third-party applications.

Senior Remote Posted about 13 hours ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: Remote
URL: https://www.toptal.com/

About the Role

We're looking for an Oracle Integration Cloud Consultant who can own enterprise integration work end to end — discovery, architecture, implementation, migration, and production support. This isn't a "follow the ticket" role: you'll independently design and build production-grade OIC integrations connecting Oracle applications with ecommerce, ERP, CRM, finance, and supply chain platforms. If you know OIC 3 inside and out and want variety across projects and industries, this is built for that.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud, including Oracle and third-party adapter configuration

  • Develop scheduled, event-driven, batch, and API-based integrations

  • Create data mappings, transformations, validations, and orchestration workflows

  • Integrate Oracle applications with ecommerce, ERP, CRM, finance, and supply chain platforms

  • Implement error handling, retries, monitoring, logging, and alerting

  • Define data contracts and technical documentation

  • Troubleshoot integration and connectivity issues across environments

  • Support deployments across development, testing, and production

  • Evaluate integration architectures, platform costs, and alternative approaches

  • Collaborate directly with application, infrastructure, and business teams

What You Bring

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, preferably OIC 3

  • Experience building and deploying production-grade integration flows

  • Experience with at least one Oracle enterprise application (JD Edwards, Oracle ERP Cloud, E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, or Siebel)

  • Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, webhooks, authentication, and data mapping

  • Experience with scheduled, event-driven, synchronous, and asynchronous integration patterns

  • Experience with error handling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support

  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

  • Strong communication, documentation, and independent problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with JD Edwards adapters or JDE Orchestrator

  • Ecommerce platform integration experience

  • OIC cost modeling or process automation experience

  • Gen2-to-Gen3 migration experience

  • OCI AI services or MCP integration experience

Why This Role

  • Variety: Multiple industries and project types — discovery, architecture, migration, and production support

  • Growth path: Potential to contribute as a developer, technical lead, or integration architect depending on project scope

  • Exposure: Enterprise ERP, ecommerce, cloud, and AI-enabled integration work

  • Longevity: Real potential for follow-on engagements beyond the initial project
