Trainer AI Coach: AI Augmented Engineering at Correlation One

Reviews learners' AI-assisted code and provides constructive feedback on both code quality and effective AI tool usage in an engineering bootcamp.

Mid Remote Posted 7 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Correlation One is the largest provider of AI and data workforce development programs globally, having trained over 500,000 professionals across 11 countries. As the largest training provider for Amazon Career Choice, and a growing partner to state governments building registered apprenticeship programs, Correlation One sits at the intersection of employer talent needs and scalable workforce training.

We work with Fortune 500 enterprises, federal and state government agencies, and leading employers to close skills gaps in AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, and operations leadership. Our programs produce job-ready graduates who are prepared to contribute from day one.

What this is: A part-time contract (~5-10 hrs/week for ~12 weeks) supporting learners in an AI-augmented engineering bootcamp at a large regulated insurer. You review code, give feedback, run office hours, and keep engineers on track between live sessions.

What you’ll do:

  • Review learners’ AI-assisted code, specs, and governance artifacts — give constructive, specific feedback
  • Catch where learners are stuck or falling behind and intervene early
  • Run virtual office hours for Q&A and hands-on help
  • Evaluate not just “does the code work” but “did the engineer use AI well” — judgment, not just output

What we need from you:

  • Working full-stack software engineer who uses AI coding tools in their daily workflow — specifically tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor for tasks like code generation, refactoring, debugging, or test writing (not just autocomplete suggestions)
  • Comfortable reviewing someone else’s code and giving clear, constructive feedback in a way that’s specific and actionable, not just “looks good” or “needs work”
  • Reliable and responsive over 12 weeks — consistency matters more than brilliance
  • Familiar enough with AI-assisted development to evaluate how engineers work with AI, not just what they produce

Nice to have:

  • Mentoring, code review, or bootcamp TA experience
  • Experience in a regulated or enterprise environment
  • Familiarity with spec-driven development or governance artifacts

Logistics:

  • Remote, ~5-10 hrs/week
  • Available during US Pacific time business hours
  • ~12 weeks starting approximately October 2026

Correlation One’s Commitment

Correlation One is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing equal opportunity for all employees and applicants. Correlation One provides a work environment free of discrimination and harassment. Employment decisions at Correlation One are based solely on business needs, job requirements and individual qualifications, without regard to race, color, religion or belief, national, social or ethnic origin, sex (including pregnancy), age, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, marital, civil union or domestic partnership status, past or present military service, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate. We encourage applicants to bring their unique skills, experiences, and outlook to our work environment.

Correlation One is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals. In keeping with our commitment, Correlation One strives to provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities to enable them to access the hiring process. If you need an accommodation to access the job application or interview process, please contact candidates@correlation-one.com.

  • Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to enhance the model's accuracy, fluency, and contextual relevance.
  • Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI models for potential inaccuracies or biases, validating their reliability across use cases.

Trainer Senior Software Engineer - Remote Freelance at Mindrift

Creates challenging coding tasks and evaluation criteria to test and improve AI coding agents' performance on realistic developer scenarios.

Senior Remote Posted 10 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Please submit your CV in English and indicate your level of English proficiency.

Mindrift connects specialists with project-based AI opportunities for leading tech companies, focused on testing, evaluating, and improving AI systems. Participation is project-based.

What this opportunity involves

We’re building a dataset to evaluate AI coding agents - how well a model handles real-world developer tasks.

You’ll create challenging tasks and evaluation criteria within realistic simulated environments:

  • Build realistic developer environments - a virtual company with codebase, infrastructure, and context (tickets, docs, conversations) that forms a believable development history
  • Design tasks from intermediate states of these environments - craft the prompt, define what “solved” means, and ensure the task is solvable by an AI agent
  • Write tests that verify agent solutions - accept all valid approaches and reject incorrect ones, neither too strict nor too lenient
  • Iterate on tasks and tests based on QA feedback - review agent solutions, analyze failures, and refine until the evaluation is fair and robust

What this is NOT

  • Not data labeling
  • Not prompt engineering
  • Not writing code from scratch - the agent writes most of the code; you guide and evaluate

What we look for

  • 5+ years in software development
  • Core stack: Python (FastAPI), JavaScript/TypeScript (React), Docker, Postgres, Kafka, Redis
  • Experience writing tests (functional, integration)
  • English proficiency - B2+

Why this is hard

Frontier models are already good at coding. Creating a task that genuinely challenges the best models is non-trivial. You need to deeply understand where models fail and what scenarios reveal the difference between a good and a bad solution. Tasks have many valid solutions - writing tests that accept all correct solutions and reject incorrect ones is harder than it sounds.

How it works

Apply → Pass qualification(s) → Join a project → Complete tasks → Get paid

Effort estimate

Tasks for this project are estimated to take 20 hours to complete, depending on complexity. This is an estimate and not a schedule requirement; you choose when and how to work. Tasks must be submitted by the deadline and meet the listed acceptance criteria to be accepted.

Compensation

Up to $40/hr equivalent, depending on level and pace. Tasks are estimated at ~20 hours each; you set your own schedule.
