AI summary: Build full-stack product features for an event marketing platform, contributing code across frontend and backend systems used by event marketers.

Description

Vendelux is transforming how companies discover, evaluate, and maximize the impact of events.

Event marketers are the driving force behind pipeline and brand — yet events remain one of the least optimized and most opaque marketing channels. Vendelux changes that. We provide the system of record for event marketing, giving teams the data and insights they need to make smarter, more strategic decisions.

Our AI-powered platform delivers proprietary insights across 250,000+ events, helping high-growth companies identify where their ideal customers will be, maximize ROI, and turn events into a scalable growth channel. Customers often describe Vendelux as an event marketer’s dream. A key part of this is our growing network of event organizer partnerships — where organizers share first-party attendee and sponsorship data, and in return gain access to valuable market insights.

In addition, Vendelux Meetings helps customers turn event insights into action — using AI to identify high-value attendees and automatically book 1:1 meetings with the right prospects at conferences. This allows teams to maximize pipeline generation and make every event materially more impactful.

Founded in 2021, Vendelux is a Series A SaaS company backed by leading investors including FirstMark, with a recent $14M round. Our team brings experience from companies like Bain, ZoomInfo, Shutterstock, Compass, Forter, Airbnb, and more.

We’re offering a paid internship on our Product Engineering team for anyone looking to build real, user-facing features at a fast-moving startup. It’s a full-stack role with more emphasis on backend. You’ll be contributing code that event marketers rely on every day.

This is a remote-friendly, 4–6 month commitment at 10–20 hours/week during Eastern Time working hours. You’re welcome to work from our NYC office in midtown, but it’s not required. For the right person, this could develop into a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to full-stack product features alongside the engineering team

  • Help build and debug features across the stack with guidance from your manager

  • Participate in code reviews — both giving and receiving feedback

  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teammates to understand what gets built and why

Tech Stack

Frontend: Typescript, React, MUI/Shadcn, Node.js

Backend: Python, Django, TypeScript, Node.js, MySQL, Postgres, AWS, GCP

Other tools: Linear, GitHub, Datadog, Cursor / Claude Code

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with at least one object-oriented programming language (TypeScript, Python, Java, C++, etc.)

  • Willingness to work across a codebase — you don’t need to be an expert, but you’re eager to dig in and learn

  • Strong communication skills — you ask questions, share context, and speak up when something’s unclear

  • Detail-oriented with a sense of ownership over your work

  • Curiosity about how products are built and shipped

Nice to Have

  • Experience with third-party integrations or APIs (e.g., Nylas, Ampersand, or similar)

  • Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript or Python

  • Customer service mindset — we’re a SaaS company, and empathy for end users matters

  • Experience with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.)

  • Comfort with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.)

Why Join Us

  • Ship real features: Your code will reach real users — not sit in a sandbox or a side project.

  • Product market fit: Customers love our platform. You’ll be improving a product people already depend on.

  • Mentorship: You’ll work closely with your manager and the engineering team, with regular feedback and support to help you grow.

  • Growth: Get hands-on experience with a modern stack, third-party integrations, and professional software development at a Series A startup.
