Engineer Staff DevOps Engineer at Duetto

Designs and operates scalable AWS infrastructure, automation, reliability, security, incident response, and DevOps tooling while mentoring engineering teams.

Lead Posted about 3 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

When thousands of hotels, resorts, and casinos around the world open their revenue tools, they expect them to just work. As our Staff DevOps Engineer, you’ll be the person who makes that happen: designing the AWS infrastructure behind our platform, shaping architecture decisions alongside engineers, and building the automation and tools that help the whole team move faster.

What Makes Us Different?

Duetto is the hospitality industry’s leading revenue management platform, founded in 2012 by former Wynn Resorts executives who knew the industry needed better technology. We built the world’s first Revenue & Profit Operating System — a suite of tools (GameChanger, ScoreBoard, BlockBuster, Advance and more) that goes beyond room pricing to give hotels, resorts and casinos a complete picture of their revenue and profitability. Trusted by clients ranging from independent boutique hotels to global chains, we’ve been named the #1 Revenue Management Software by HotelTechAwards four years running and the #1 Best Place to Work in Hotel Tech in 2025. Backed by GrowthCurve Capital since 2024, we’re accelerating our investment in AI, and we’re genuinely passionate about the industry we serve. We build products we’re proud of, for customers we care about.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and build scalable, secure, highly available AWS infrastructure for our critical systems, with automation at the center and uptime and reliability as the goal.
  • Partner with developers on architecture decisions to improve the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of our servers and applications.
  • Keep us secure by default: tackle vulnerabilities early and raise our cybersecurity readiness.
  • Be the last line of support for services our customers depend on 24⁄7. You’ll troubleshoot on-call incidents, join a weekly on-call rotation, and lead Root Cause Analysis so the same problem doesn’t come back.
  • Build the tools and automation other engineers use every day, and mentor DevOps engineers and teams across the company.
  • Help us bring AI into our DevOps and SRE workflows. We’re redesigning how every role works with AI, and this one is no exception.

What We’re Looking For

You may be a good fit if you have the following:

  • 7+ years in an Ops, DevOps, or SRE role, with real system design and architecture experience
  • Hands-on AWS experience (IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail), including multi-account management, permissions structures, and SSO. Azure or GCP experience is welcome too.
  • Engineer-level knowledge of networking and security, plus a solid grasp of load balancing fundamentals
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with Terraform, working as part of a multi-user infrastructure team
  • Experience with CI/CD and build/deploy automation tooling (GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, GitOps)
  • Experience running enterprise monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog
  • A track record of resolving complex on-call incidents and leading RCAs that lead to lasting fixes
  • Comfort reading Java, Ruby, Bash/Zsh, HCL, Python, and JavaScript
  • A service reliability mindset, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong candidates may also have:

  • Layer 7 load balancing experience
  • Container orchestration experience (ECS/EKS)
  • Chef or Puppet configuration management experience
  • SOC2 compliance experience
  • Curiosity about our stack: Java, Python, NoSQL, MongoDB, Postgres, React, Terraform/Terragrunt, Chef, DataDog, and Prometheus

Why Duetto?

  • Hospitality is in our DNA. Your work directly helps hoteliers grow revenue and profit, and you’ll see the impact on real customers around the world.
  • We play to win. Duetto speed is real. We act with urgency when we spot an opportunity or a challenge, and you’ll have room to help set direction and architecture.
  • AI is how we work. We’re actively redesigning how every role operates with AI, and you’ll be equipped and encouraged to use cutting-edge tools in your day-to-day, in DevOps and SRE workflows included.
  • We build partnerships. We succeed as one team, across technical and non-technical functions, and we honour our commitments to each other and our customers.
  • Come as you are. We value diverse perspectives, welcome healthy debate, and keep the atmosphere casual, flexible, collaborative, and fun. We take our fun seriously.

The Details

  • Location: Remote, US or Canada
  • Work model: Remote
  • On-call: Weekly on-call rotation
  • Visa sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Leads Vestd’s India go-to-market strategy, campaigns, content, website, partnerships, events, brand localization, and pipeline growth.

Lead Remote Posted about 3 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Role: Marketing Lead - India

Reports to: India BU Team Lead

Location: Remote working (India-based).

We are currently a remote-first organisation, but hybrid working may be an option in the future.

Salary: Up to INR 40,00,000 depending on experience, plus equity

Hours: Full-Time, IST 9:30am-6.30pm

Please note

All communication regarding your application should go through the official application channels or our company careers page. Contacting Vestd employees via email, personal social media, or other informal routes is not appropriate. We also have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of harassment or abuse directed at our team. Candidates who do not respect these boundaries may be disqualified from the recruitment process and, in serious cases, barred from applying in future.

About Vestd

Vestd is a leading sharetech platform for equity management - shares schemes, fund raising, company secretarial and much more.

Our regulated platform makes light work of all of the most popular and tax-efficient share scheme types, empowering businesses to attract and retain their talent. Our powerful software also helps investors, and founders seeking investment.

Vestd was founded by Ifty Nasir, who lives and breathes our mission. Vestd’s big moonshot aim is to see one billion people worldwide invested in the companies they work hard to grow by 2030. We are all about inclusion and fairness for our customers and our team.

Vestd is also a B Corp-certified company, which means we’re committed to balancing profit with purpose. We care about our people, our customers, and the wider world – and we hold ourselves to the highest social and environmental standards.

If you’d like to learn more about Vestd, check out this short video from our founder, Ifty.

The role

Vestd is the UK’s leading equity management platform, and we’re building in India.

We need a senior marketer to make Vestd the name Indian founders and finance leaders think of when they think about equity.

You’ll lead and scale our marketing in India. You’ll set the go-to-market strategy and then roll up your sleeves to deliver it: campaigns, content, the website, partnerships, events and the pipeline numbers that come out of all of it. There’s a brand and a playbook from the UK to start from, but adapting them for India is yours to shape.

You’ll work closely with sales, product and leadership in India and the UK. You’ll have real autonomy and a budget to match, and we’ll expect you to tell us plainly what’s working and what isn’t.

This is a remote-first role based in India. You’ll join a few events and in-person get-togethers each year.

What success looks like in year one

We’re looking for someone who is dynamic and can deliver a consistent pipeline of qualified leads, while successfully executing the wider India go-to-market strategy.

You will have excellent commercial judgement, be expected to improve brand awareness, website performance, and campaign ROI, build meaningful partnerships and community engagement, implement effective marketing automation and reporting. AI tooling should be part of your processes to accelerate production.

By the end of your first year, you’ll have:

  • A pipeline you can count on. Sales get a steady flow of qualified leads, and everyone agrees on what “qualified” means.
  • A brand people recognise. Founders, CFOs and investors in India know who Vestd is and why we matter, and the India brand transition is complete across every touchpoint.
  • Numbers that tell the story. You can show leadership in India and the UK which campaigns drive pipeline, what each one costs and where the next rupee should go.
  • A website that converts. Traffic, search visibility (including AI search) and conversion are all clearly higher than when you started.
  • An ecosystem that knows us. Partnerships, roundtables and community events bring us into rooms we couldn’t get into before.
  • AI that does the heavy lifting. AI tools are built into how the team produces content, runs campaigns and reports, so you move faster without losing quality.

What you’ll own

  • India go-to-market and brand: set India’s GTM strategy in step with our global marketing goals. Lead the move to the Vestd India brand across messaging, digital assets, campaigns and every customer touchpoint.
  • Demand generation and digital marketing: own the website, SEO, the content roadmap and conversion. Plan and run joined-up campaigns across paid, organic, email, social and partner channels that build a steady, qualified pipeline.
  • Product marketing: shape how we position and talk about our equity management platform. Give sales the materials they need to win, and lead launch campaigns for new products and features.
  • Marketing operations and reporting: own HubSpot, from workflows and lead scoring to lifecycle stages and attribution. Report on pipeline, campaign performance and ROI to India and UK leadership.
  • Partnerships, community, and budget: build partnerships with ecosystem players, industry bodies and investors. Lead PR, media and analyst relations, executive thought leadership, speaking slots, and flagship events such as CXO roundtables and webinars. Own the marketing budget and make every rupee count.
  • Strategic Planning: lead the annual marketing plan and quarterly reviews. Decide where to invest and where to stop, so marketing spend backs the business’s long-term goals.

What we’re looking for

Essential elements of this role

We cannot provide an exhaustive list of duties; additional duties may arise, but these will be core elements of this role.

  • 12+ years of full-time marketing experience, including at least 5 years leading a marketing function or team. Internships and roles held during full-time study don’t count towards this, though we’d still love to hear about them.
  • Clear career progression. Your CV should show how you’ve grown into a leadership role, with increasing scope, budget or team size over time.
  • B2B marketing experience, ideally in SaaS, fintech or professional services, selling to business decision-makers.
  • The full marketing mix: brand, demand generation, content, paid media and marketing operations. You’ve led all of these, not just one specialism.
  • A track record of building a marketing engine that consistently drives awareness, engagement and qualified pipeline, with numbers to show for it.
  • Hands-on with HubSpot (or a similar automation platform), Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, including managing budgets and reporting on performance.
  • Owning a budget and reporting pipeline and ROI directly to senior leadership.
  • Visibility in AI search: you’ve built programmes that get a brand found on AI search and generative discovery platforms, not only traditional SEO.
  • AI in your everyday work: you use AI tools for things like content drafting, campaign production and automated reporting.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Clear, direct communication in writing and in person, and comfortable working across UK and India teams and time zones.
  • You thrive in a remote-first, distributed team and are happy to travel to occasional events and get-togethers.

Nice to have

These will help you stand out from the pack:

  • Startup or scale-up experience, especially building or launching a marketing function in a new market.
  • Knowledge of shares, share schemes or equity compensation such as ESOPs, or a genuine curiosity to learn it fast.
  • Experience hiring and leading a marketing team, or managing agencies and freelancers.
  • Marketing to SME founders, CFOs, finance leaders or similar B2B audiences.
  • A network in India’s startup and investor ecosystem that could open doors for partnerships and events.

Culture fit

What makes Vestd folk collaborative, adaptable, and eager to grow?

  • Thrives in a startup environment, ready to tackle diverse challenges with enthusiasm
  • Adaptable - open to taking on responsibilities beyond the defined role as needed
  • Passionate about contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Embraces technology to improve processes and drive efficiency

While the above describes the core responsibilities, this role may from time to time involve tasks beyond this list — as needed to respond to evolving business needs.

What you can expect

Our culture is our backbone (BreatheHR named us one of the ‘Top 3 Companies in the UK for Company Culture’), and we take team happiness seriously.

Vestd strives to be as principled as possible. We’re all about Goal 8 of the United Nations ‘Sustainable Development Goals. This goal is about ‘Decent work and economic growth,’ and we consider it both with our external activities and internal workings.

We’ll do everything we can to help you grow in your role. In return, you’ll want to learn all about our industry and do all you can to help us continue leading it.

Vestd is remote-first, so in return for your commitment, diligence, and productivity, you’ll have a lot of autonomy during your working day. Some roles demand office hours (to fit our customers’ schedules), but we are committed to offering flexibility where possible.

Happy employees make for happy customers, as demonstrated in our five-star reviews. Vestd’s excellence has also been recognised by The Europas, The Fintech Awards London, The Hustle Awards, TechRound, and BusinessCloud’s Fintech50. See more about our awards here.

This could be the perfect opportunity if you’re an autonomous, self-driven individual passionate about contributing to a meaningful mission and value being part of a supportive, close-knit team.

Why work at Vestd?

Vestd is a great place to work. There are a range of benefits that you can look forward to as one of our folk (benefits vary depending on location):

  • This job is remote-first, although attendance is required twice yearly at our in-person get-togethers
  • A flexible environment to help you achieve the best work/life balance
  • An Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), of course! (After the qualifying period)
  • Monthly recognition scheme, where we celebrate our folk
  • Support with home working equipment*
  • A personal training and development budget to keep your career and professional growth on track
  • Private medical insurance (after the qualifying period)
  • Team retreats are held twice a year. They can include an overnight stay and focus on fun and team cohesion
  • Great team ethos, connect through regular team and company socials
  • 25 days annual leave plus one extra day per year of service (up to five days)

We’re looking for somebody with initiative who can focus on the business and their personal growth path. This is a great time to join our team, and it would be a superb role for the right person.

*At Vestd we provide our folk with the hardware and software required to support them in their role. As a remote-first business, we expect anyone applying for a job to have a suitable, quiet working space. You must have an appropriate desk/table and chair, with a reliable internet connection.

Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at Vestd

At Vestd, we’re committed to building a respectful, inclusive, and diverse team. Trust is one of our core values; with that comes a commitment to fairness and transparency. We want to be open about our EDI efforts.

We wish to recruit people who are passionate about working in a diverse environment and who will support us to ensure that all colleagues are supported and included while working with us.

Research shows that while men are likely to apply when they meet 60% of a job’s requirements, women and individuals from underrepresented groups often apply only when they meet every criterion.

We understand the value of transferable skills and the unique perspectives that diversity brings. That’s why we encourage applications from candidates with unique strengths and experiences.

Our application process

We are accepting rolling applications for this role with no fixed end date - if you are interested in joining the Vestd folk, please apply when you can. We will respond to every applicant, but we may only screen some candidates depending on the number of applications received.

Our recruitment pipeline has a few stages, giving you plenty of opportunities to learn about Vestd as we take the time to find someone who is the best fit for the role. We aim to complete the selection process as efficiently as possible, and we are committed to making our candidate experience as inclusive as we can, so please get in touch with us if you require any information or support during the application process or need to ask for any adjustments.

A typical selection process might be:

  • Apply online
  • 20-minute screening call
  • 45-minute interview with the hiring manager and team member
  • Task-based assignment
  • 45-minute team cultural interview
  • 30-minute interview with the CEO

Please note that we record our interviews. These recordings are only viewed by the hiring team and once a role is filled, all recordings are deleted. We do not share any candidate information with anyone outside of Vestd at any time.

If you need any adjustments or support with your application, please let us know.

We are excited to receive your application.

When a role is filled, we will contact all other applicants to let them know.

Engineer Founding Engineer, Consumer Apps at Placer.ai

Builds and scales Placer’s consumer mobile apps, backend services, consent flows, and technical foundation as the founding engineer.

Lead Posted about 3 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

ABOUT PLACER.AI:

Placer.ai is transforming how organizations understand the physical world. Our location analytics platform provides unprecedented visibility into locations, markets, and consumer behavior. Placer empowers thousands of customers—from Fortune 500 companies, to local governments and nonprofits— to make smarter, data-driven decisions.

What sets us apart? We’ve built the most advanced location intelligence platform in the market while maintaining an uncompromising commitment to privacy, proving that powerful analytics and responsible data practices can coexist.

Our growth reflects the market’s demand: we reached $100M in annual recurring revenue within just 6 years of launching, achieved unicorn status with a $1B+ valuation in 2022, and continue to expand rapidly as one of North America’s fastest-growing tech companies. We’re creating a $100B+ market opportunity, and we’re just getting started.

Named one of Forbes America’s Best Startup Employers and a Deloitte Technology Fast 500 company, we’re building a culture where innovation thrives, collaboration is the norm, and every team member contributes to reshaping how the world understands location.

SUMMARY:

The Founding Engineer, Consumer Apps is the first engineer on Placer’s new B2C team. Placer’s core business sells to companies. This team builds products for consumers directly: apps whose users choose to contribute the data behind the Placer platform. The role works directly with the Vice President, Consumer Apps. It owns the technical product end to end: the mobile apps and the experience inside them, the backend behind them, the permission and consent flow, and the integration that brings what users contribute into the Placer platform.

The team is small and lean by design, gets its speed from AI tools, and runs on move fast, fail fast: ship small, measure honestly, and quickly either drop an idea or double down on it. The Founding Engineer takes the product from first prototype to launch and scale, and sets the technical foundation the team builds on as it grows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Architect, build and ship Placer’s first consumer apps on Android and iOS, plus the backend services behind them, as the team’s first engineer, on an architecture that can scale to millions of users.
  • Own the quality of the consumer experience: onboarding, the permission ask, the core engagement loop and every screen in between. Treat each step as a place a user can drop off, work hands-on from mockups to polished UI, and use funnel data and user feedback to decide what to fix next.
  • Build the permission and consent flow to App Store and Google Play policy, in partnership with Legal and Privacy. This covers prominent disclosure, the grant from foreground to background location, and every step of the grant funnel.
  • Instrument the full funnel from day one, starting with attribution (which channel and campaign brought each user), then install, registration, permission grant, engagement and retention. Every drop-off should be measurable.
  • Own measurement and experimentation: the analytics and A/B testing setup, how each experiment is designed and read, and the funnel reporting the team makes decisions from.
  • Ship on a move fast, fail fast cadence. Release small experiments in days, not months, measure each one against the funnel, and drop what doesn’t work without getting attached to it. Own releases, store submission and review responses.
  • Work AI-first. Use AI coding, design and testing tools as the default way to build, so a small, lean team ships at the pace of a much larger one.
  • Embed Placer’s existing data collection technology in the apps. Work with R&D and Data Science so the data reaches the Placer platform through its privacy pipeline, fit for use, with identifiable data separated at the point the privacy design requires.
  • Build account integrity and user trust into the product from the start. This includes fraud and abuse controls for device integrity, location spoofing, emulators and duplicate accounts.
  • Make the early technical calls on stack, architecture and vendors within Placer’s engineering standards. Own the service in production, including monitoring, alerting, reliability and cost.
  • Help hire and mentor the next engineers as the team grows, and set the practices they join into.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years on B2C products: consumer-facing mobile apps shipped to the general public
  • A real passion for UX, with shipped consumer experiences the candidate can walk through screen by screen and explain the choices behind
  • Does well in a move fast, fail fast environment: comfortable shipping imperfect first versions, reading the data, and throwing away work that doesn’t perform
  • Mastery of AI development tools such as coding agents and AI-assisted design, testing and code review, with concrete examples of how they multiplied the candidate’s output on a small team
  • A record of taking at least one consumer app from zero to launch as a founding or early engineer, and scaling it after launch
  • Deep expertise on one native platform (Android/Kotlin or iOS/Swift) and working fluency on the other, or equivalent cross-platform experience with native modules
  • Experience integrating SDKs into consumer mobile apps
  • Backend experience building APIs and data services on a cloud platform (Python and GCP preferred)
  • Direct experience with App Store and Google Play review, including data-safety declarations and working through policy rejections
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and the judgment to raise risks early

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to work more efficiently—whether professionally or personally—and a curiosity for finding new ways to apply them.
  • Comfort integrating generative AI into day-to-day workflows to boost productivity, quality, and output.

We are currently a remote-first organisation, but hybrid working may be an option in the future.

Salary: Up to INR 40,00,000 depending on experience, plus equity

Hours: Full-Time, IST 9:30am-6.30pm

All communication regarding your application should go through the official application channels or our company careers page.

  • Support with home working equipment*

  • Private medical insurance (after the qualifying period)

  • Great team ethos, connect through regular team and company socials
  • 25 days annual leave plus one extra day per year of service (up to five days)

We’re looking for somebody with initiative who can focus on the business and their personal growth path. This is a great time to join our team, and it would be a superb role for the right person.

*At Vestd we provide our folk with the hardware and software required to support them in their role. As a remote-first business, we expect anyone applying for a job to have a suitable, quiet working space. You must have an appropriate desk/table and chair, with a reliable internet connection.

Engineer Founding Engineer, Consumer Apps at Placer.ai

Builds and scales Placer’s consumer mobile apps, backend services, consent flows, and technical foundation as the first engineer on the team.
